Gethin lists more famous Welsh people and appropriates for the mother land that most famous of all Welshman, William Wallace. See http://www.baublebob.co.uk for more Gethin!
Unfortunately it’s … Unfortunately it’s a myth that William Wallace was Welsh and I’m sorry to say that it’s indirectly our fault that the english almost conquered Scotland then because the english forced conquered Welshmen to serve in their army because they were the best archers in Europe. Because of them the Scots lost the battle of Falkirk and Wallace was captured.
And as much as I … And as much as I like the Scottish they fought alongside the English at Crogen a more than a century and a half before and got nailed by a Welsh scout party. It was such a blood bath that the Words ‘Cofiwch Crogen, Cofiwch Cymru’ (Remember Crogen, Remember Wales) was said throughout all Britiain and parts of france as a byword for courage a century.
