from his a***………..
We all know that stories are exaggerated as they go from village to village.
Just as in the movie Braveheart the people didn’t recognize William Wallace because the stories they heard were so great and yet the man in front of them was not 9 feet tall and did not have fireballs for eyes.
Perhaps. Maybe, just like Tom Cruise, everyone will notice that he’s way shorter and a lot creepier in real life.

Where do you see that Jesus is shooting fire from his eyes and lightning from his hind quarters? Quote me some scripture on that.

the difference is the Gospels were written by people who were with Jesus not people who heard a story, who heard a story, who heard a story…………. and then wrote it down

First it is not a myth.
Even the "Jesus Tomb" made it very clear almost ALL scholars acknowledge a Jesus who did great things.
Second
In each village it was preached according to a certain standard. Fulfillment of the Old Testament prophecies. So the standard was set and Jesus was measured by that standard.

Sure but he still did a lot of powerful organising and good and brave work. So his rep is deserved anyway. I don’t think anyone REALLY expected that he was nine feet tall …

It was two thousand years ago, in a time when women were getting pregnant by gods all the time(GREEK; hint, hint). Of course things have been exaggerated.

Yes, the Jesus myth has got way out of hand. He was actually 4 feet tall and had a gammy leg.
