"Kidnapping" the bride?

Posted by admin on February 13th, 2010 and filed under braveheart poster | 22 Comments »

Another poster sparked this question that I had forgotten about.

I went to a wedding where they did the "kidnapping" the bride and demanding a certain amount of ransom before she was released. Anyway, when the bestman ran in the reception all dramatic and told us this I was pretty much offended and refused to pay. So were some other people. He thought we were kidding and two hours later a super ticked off bride came through the door demanding to know why we had refused to pay her "ransom".

I know historically back in Braveheart times this was actually a concern but is it really a tradition now to recreate that in some cultures like a money dance? In my mind it was just the bride and groom trying to be cute and milk us for more money…did I miss something?

They are stupid. You are correct!

How to Decorate/Make Teen movie room?

Posted by admin on September 13th, 2009 and filed under braveheart poster | 2 Comments »

Ok so I have 3 small rooms (the cellar) of my new house to myself. One of the rooms is going to be a movie room where I watch T.V and movies. All My DVDs will be in there and a couch. I wanna decorate the walls with famous movie actors/actresses and movie posters/displays. I was thinking of outting Merilyn Monroe and James Deen and stuff on the wall and other things I got at home. DO you have any ideas of ways I can make this room look nice and be a good hangout? Just to sit and watch movies? What should I put on the walls and stuff etc….

My favorite movies = Now and Then, Thirteen, Star Wars, A Walk To Remember, Pirates of The Caribbean, Disney Movies, Braveheart, American Pie, Grave of the Fireflies, SPirited Away etc….

My Favorite T.V Shows= Avatar, The Hills, Naruto, Laguna Beach, Tila Tequila, Every old Nick show like Kenan and Kel and All That. Umm…… idks stuff like that. ANy ideas?

Make it look Broadway and use vintage posters and other vintage type stuff. That would look awesome!

Chill! u keep asking the same question over and over. wait a bit longer for answers, it’s not an imidate thing in this section.
posters and stuff are good. maybe some old VHS’s, paste them to the wall or something, and put lights through the little holes in em, like string lights or something and have it set to a remote so u can turn them down or off, and a popcorn macine if u can find one cheap enough, real or fake, it’d add to it a lot.
Good seating’s a nessacity as well, keep that in mind if ur working on a budget.
and it’s Marilyn, not with an e
