Braveheart is one compelling movie made even better by the soundtrack by James Horner and the London Symphony Orchestra. This is my rendition with some tasty changes. Comment and critique away, peoples.

Wow….I can tell …
Wow….I can tell you love that theme as much as I do. The occasional mistake in there takes nothing away. It’s obvious you catch all the nuances and are recreating the SIZE of that theme. You and I play in a similar way but I’m not as good at the flamenco picking or whatever it’s considered using several fingers. I’ve never really practiced that. Your choices on the fret board are much like mine would be. We have a similar ear I guess. Good stuff man.

I started on piano, …
I started on piano, but then like most dumb males I fell into the guitar trap. But thanks to my classical leanings and 2 years lessons from a chap called Bruce Mathiske (elsewhere on Youtube) I earned the ability to play rhythm, base, and melody at the same time - much like a piano. I admit fingerpicking isn’t for everyone but if the teacher is really inspiring (ie writes and performs their own great music) it helps!
- and yeah, I like the movie!

I really enjoyed …
I really enjoyed your rendition of the Brave Heart theme. I’m curious, what inspired you to learn it? The reason I ask, is because I don’t often see many young guitarists really taking the time to explore other genres of music outside of their own, let alone movie scores. I’m sure it happens, but not as often as I’d like.
I teach guitar and so I’m always trying to get my students to think outside the box, so to speak and I wondered what your inspiration was? Anway, well done. Peace.

If you’re …
If you’re interested in learning the theme I suggest learning fingerpicking and figuring out the score by ear. Tabs are a crutch.
