Name of a Song in The New Guy (2002)?

Posted by admin on March 30th, 2010 and filed under soundtrack braveheart | 2 Comments »

The song I’m looking for was during the football game against the Rocky Creek Drillers. It is when the Highlanders are walking in doing their Braveheart spoof thing.

I’ve been told it was on the Braveheart soundtrack but I would just like someone to confirm that since I don’t see the song listed on the New Guy’s soundtrack.

Thanks

I was trying to figure out if it could possibly be "El Capitan" or "Bolero."
Of the other instrumental songs that come out I don’t believe it’s "The Battle Hymn of the Republic", "Also Sprach Zarathustra", or "The Good, The Bad, & The Ugly."
I tried cross referencing the 2 soundtracks but none of the tracks matched. I know the scene spoofs Braveheart but perhaps all that is alike is the familiar sound of the bagpipes & not the actual music.

I’m working on a movie "subtitle" that would follow the name of a fictitious movie name…?

In my graphic design class, we’re working on a movie poster and the name of this movie is "Hello Darkness" — a horror movie of course! All I need now is the subtitle or message on the bottom of its title. For example: BRAVEHEART "Every man dies, not every man really lives
TOMBSTONE "Justice is coming!"

Thank you for your ideas……..

Hello Darkness "Say goodbye to the light"…how’s that?

Did William Wallace won the battle in Braveheart?

Posted by admin on March 27th, 2010 and filed under braveheart | 4 Comments »

I wasn’t able to see the movie and now I’m running out of time to watch it.
I know he got executed but did he die victorious or was the battle he started succeeded in the end?

Yes, William Wllace won all the bttles proving himself a great leader, sadly he was captured ahd was tortured until his death. His fellow warriors saw him being tortured and cried.
P.S. He dide from guards stacking rocks on a board on his chest and then his head chopped off.

What do you think of this song?

Do you think that the movie "Braveheart" should be shown in a 9th grade social studies class?

Posted by admin on March 14th, 2010 and filed under braveheart movie | 1 Comment »

No issue with the historical significance or facts. The gruesome depictions during the battles, rape of Wallace’s wife & final slow death of himself are visually disturbing.

Why not? It is historic. Perhaps you feel the final slow killing of the hero is too graphic? Not really as the exact punishment is only left in your mind.

What was William Wallace really like?

Posted by admin on March 12th, 2010 and filed under william wallace braveheart | 3 Comments »

In the movie "Braveheart" as you probably all know he’s depicted as an idealistic hero with great values, and fighting for vengeance of his loved one and freedom of course.
I’m planning on doing my end of the year project on William Wallace because he seems very interesting, so I was just wondering if the movie was the only time when William Wallace was really heroic or was he an actual person fighting against the supressing forces of an "evil" England? I’m just asking because in the past I’ve done projects on who I thought were great people and they turn out to be just as greedy and awful as the foes they fight.
Thank you

William Wallace was a big man. He stood over 7 feet tall. He killed men by the hundreds and was capable shooting fireballs from his eyes and bolts of lightning from his arse.

Braveheart? regarding william wallace?

in the film braveheart, the character william wallace had many tragic events happened to him that motivates him. the two major events r his father death and his wife’s murder. wat other events do u think motivates him?

when the Irish conscripts join his army, when the highlanders come in their droves, from the different clans to join him too.
I think angus’ father sees william as his adopted son, and seeing an old man give everything in battle, even fighting on with an arrow in his chest proves to william that what they are doing is worth fighting for.
the betrayal of william by robert the bruce and the other chiefs spurs william on even further, after he realises that if they are going to make a difference to the scottish people, they have to do it themselves, without the help of the nobles
