i just need help on this one question…i was sick most of the days we watched it…the exact question is- what did william wallace sacrifice of value in order to achieve something of greater value?

Wallace is brought before the English magistrates and tried for high treason. He denies the charges, declaring that he had never accepted Edward as his King.
The court responds by sentencing him to be "purified by pain." Later, in a London square, William Wallace is tortured to death, being hanged, racked, and disemboweled.
The magistrate offers him a quick death in exchange for a plea for mercy. Awed by Wallace's courage, the Londoners watching the execution begin to yell for mercy to be given. William signals to the magistrate that he wishes to speak. Using the last strength in his body, he cries, "Freedom!" and turns his head, seeing Murron in the crowd smiling at him as he is beheaded.

OK….fight and you may die, run and you may live…at least for a while….And dying in your beds many years from now would you be willing to trade all the days from this day to that for one chance, Just One Chance, to come back here and tell our enemies that they may take away our lives but they'll never take away our FREEDOM!!

Question: What is Wallace trying to get across to his men????

he was trying to inspire them to stand and fight, because if memory serves me, i think his troops were about to give up when they saw the sheer power and numbers the british had compared to them.

So he fired them up, made them angry and confident, and in turn made them kick the brits azz that day

On the inside of the Braveheart DVD in the booklet giving the back story of William Wallace, there is a picture of a knotted heart with a sword going through it. I have been looking for a better picture of this for quite a while but have come up with nothing. Does anyone know of a place where I could find a better (clearer) version of this picture?

Is the movie " Braveheart" any good?What was the plot of this movie? Was it a good movie or bad movie? Who all stars in this movie ? Did it win any awards or anything? How well did it do with movie critics and moviegoers?Is it worth buying on DVD ? Is there any nudity,swearing or violence in it?

Just buy this film!
It's the best film ever made and my friend plays in it (lol) he did all the stunt work for Mel.
I hope Simon one day gets his star on the walk of fame, he deserves it.

An amazing film with a simply stunning soundtrack…

For those of you not familiar with the story…its basically A Scotish guy running around with blue face paint on trying to kill the English…The English took Scotland when the last Scotish king died and all Mr Scotish guy wants is a country of his own….Hence why he runs around in blue face paint killing the English…And they also kill his wife…so that kind of es him off as well..

“The problem with Scotland is that it is full of Scots”
